If a vehicle is stored, sold, discarded, or taken out of Québec, or if its use class is changed, the owner may be entitled to a refund of a portion of the insurance contribution or registration fees paid. Any refund due will be calculated in proportion to the number of months remaining between the month following cancellation of the vehicle’s registration and the month the registration was due to expire.
