The Commission des normes du travail may exercise the recourses available to employees against the directors of a business that has filed for bankruptcy. Certain conditions apply.
The Commission may exercise these recourses only with respect to amounts owing under the Act respecting labour standards (salary or wages, and indemnities for annual leave or vacation, statutory holidays and leave for family events). It cannot exercise any recourse with respect to an indemnity for termination of employment.
