The equalized payments plan enables customers of Hydro-Québec to:
divide their annual electricity costs into 12 monthly payments
know ahead of time what their monthly payment will be
better plan the family budget
avoid an account deficit or a significant surplus.
Twice a year, Hydro-Québec reviews the amount of your monthly payments and may adjust it to your household's consumption rate for the 12 preceding months.
You can request equalized payments online or by phone.
